Loretta McGregor - Certified Suzuki Violin Teacher

Loretta has over twenty years teaching experience as an Elementary School Teacher with both the York Region and Lakehead Boards of Education.
Loretta is a graduate of York University (B.A.) and Lakehead University (B.Ed.) and she is certified by the Southwestern Ontario Suzuki Institute at Sir Wilfred Laurier University.
Loretta studied violin under John Norhaugan and achieved Royal Conservatory of Music of Toronto Grade IX level at 16 years of age. She played in the first violin section with the Lakehead Symphony Orchestra under Cherrier and Bateman.
Loretta coached her 2 Suzuki violinist daughters who won first place in the Northwestern Ontario Music Festival with Bach Double Violin Concerto Duet at 13 years of age.
Loretta played in the Pelimanni Finn Orchestra for over five years and is currently a member of the Thunder Bay Conservatory of Music Community Orchestra.
Loretta has over eighteen years experience teaching Suzuki violin in Thunder Bay. She is a member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas and she was a member of the Sweet Adelines International for over 15 years.
